♥ I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
♥ You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
♥ You'll include this explanation.
♥ You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
Although you can just do it in a reply comment if you want, if anyone replies. XD Anyway, now for the five I was asked, though I can't promise complete coherency because yeah, my cold:
1. Are you on Team Kagome or Team Kikyo? Why?
Team Kagome. Now, that doesn't mean I don't like Kikyo, I do. I mean, I admit it took a while for the ice queen to grow on me, but I can say now I genuinely do like her. Especially with the tragicness of her character. But between her and Inuyasha, and Kagome and Inuyasha, I dunno. I just prefer the latter. She's been a good influence on him through the series, and I've always loved the way they interact. I just prefer that pairing.
2. Who is your favorite character to roleplay as? Why?
Honestly? My main AU of Bass.EXE. That may sound self-serving since it's technically a version I created, but it's true. He's got decades of character development IC, and I love working with that. There's a lot to his personality that's not in the canon version-- his anger for humanity has turned inward for example, and while his temper's volatile as ever his very values have changed --and that's always fun to work with. OOCly there's six years now of real-time development and logs behind him, and even if some people just don't "get" him or what he's about, that doesn't matter. The RP partners I share him with (in AIM, considering he has an LJ account too XD ) do, and I do, and that's where it counts.
After Bass? Rock(.EXE) from the same AU, and my DQ8 OCs Jailcat and Jingles. I'll go into those sometime in the future, since now I kinda wanna do an RP essay XD
3. Who's the least favorite character you've roleplayed as? Why?
Oh jeez... I don't know. I guess any time I've played a Complete Monster, which is so rare I can't think of a single instance. All my characters, even the villains, will have at least ONE redeeming quality, and there's something about playing the truly heartless that rubs me the wrong way.
4. How did you get involved in Megaman?
Really? XD Okay then, but this is going to be a long story. As I was growing up and getting into the video game culture, sure I was aware of Megaman. I never got to play it though, for one reason or another. And honestly, after a while I forgot about it. In browsing the internet I'd be able to recognize him sure, but that was about the extent of my knowledge. Then in 200...1?.. I first caught glimpses of the EXE anime. It appealed to my likes of digital things (which people who know me well can see XD I mean Digimon, Code Lyoko, Tron, need I say more?) and I was hooked. ...Uuunnnfortunately, I didn't catch as much as I'd wanted, and at most I caught only a few episodes in the second season. Once again Megaman as a whole was tucked to the back of my mind.
Fastforward to about 2005(-ish), past the messiest relationship in my life and to a period when I had been broken, ground up, and spit back out. I wanted to discard the things that reminded me of that period, and unfortunately that meant the dormancy of certain fandoms. One of the holes left behind was filled by Megaman, which I came across one day on TV-- I forget which episode of the third season (Axess) it was, but it was either the first one or the fourth one (the Roll Soul episode;
roll_soul?). In remembering the show I was HOOKED, and but good this time. Megaman.EXE gave me an out, and it acted as my gateway drug to the rest of the Megaman fandom. That's why I love it so deeply, even so many years later. Because it was one of the first truly fresh breaths I'd had in a long time, I stuck with it, and here we are.
5. Which Pokemon generation is your favorite, and why?
The second generation, mostly because that was when I was really getting into Pokemon. When the first generation was around it seemed like I was always behind, but when the Johto stuff came out? Suddenly I could be current! I could talk to people and join in on the buzz, and that's what really ignited the long-running love for Pokemon I have now.
