♪ It's like riding on the wind, and it never goes away

Just as an update, my dad came home a few days ago. He's fine, but can't really get around much due to the injury in his knee. Between helping to take care of him, some trying shifts at work, and just general wear and tear I feel like I've been walking for miles and miles, and only get a quick breather between in town before walking on. Miles to Go Before I Sleep and all that, I guess.

Either way, not looking forward to the shift today, though I'm glad I had the foresight yesterday to stock up on energy shot drinks (re: 4 hours of sleep). Looking forward to day off tomorrow though, and Kung Fu Panda 2 on Wednesday. With a friend no less, at this combination theater/restaurant that sounds really awesome. Definitely can't wait.

On the RP side, been having some cool threads lately, with Bass (one at dear_mun and another at ink_city). Also bought him a paid and 15 new icons, 13 of which are technically kudos to rockman_dot_exe and a download of the Forte/Serenade manga chapter therein. Man I wish that was in English, although at least REO had a summary. Still have to finish Izzy apps to two games though, buh.

Um. Yeah, that's about it. Just killing time right now until I have to leave for work at 9:15. Hopefully I'll actually be on AIM tonight, in case any of the people I've been missing sees this entry before then.

Shoot, I think I'm getting sick. Like, "I ate something bad" sick. My eating habits have been... less than stellar these past couple of days, so I'm not surprised. I only hope it was the take-out I have a problematic history with and not the (home-cooked) burger that may have been a little undercooked >_> (Stupid stupid CB, I know.) ...Then again if it was the latter, I think I'd have more problems than what I term my "greasy headaches" (aka the way my head feels after I eat something with too much grease in it) by now. And I feel all the better in the worry department for typing that.


ANYWAY. I've got two apps whose results are pending (one at DDD and one at I_C) and I'm going crazy XD I'm especially worried about the DDD one, though if the character gets in I plan on making it stick this time.

Haven't done a proper update in a while. And... this one won't really be one either XD At least as far as RL stuff is concerned. I go to work, I come home, I take a nap if I'm tired, I get online. That's about how most of my days go. What is this... "so-shull lah-ife" you speak of?

On another note though, I'm not feeling as creatively plugged as I was. I've been doing some regular ficcing, not anything most people would read but it's still there. There have been the occasional drawings, and I've also been doing occasional song scripts (AKA "scripts laying out mental video actions/details to [Song]") that... again, most won't see but still exist XD So the creative juices are flowing. Just... slowly. Agonizingly slow, but still.


For the most part though, this entry's going to be catching up on the three X-a-Day memes I've been doing. Hence the icon XD Which, now that I'm looking, was the same icon I used last time I did both 30 Day memes in the same entry. Pfft.

Making my friends laugh. That is the greatest joy and the greatest goal for me, and if a day goes by where that doesn't happen then I have wasted it. As for the other part of the question, I don't think it's important to leave a lasting mark on the world. Leaving a positive, lasting impression on the people I care about is plenty for me. If my advice, actions, or what have you comes back around years later for them, and it helps, then I'm happy.

You can't BELIEVE how happy I am right at this moment. I reconnected with my old friend Jem (those few active readers of mine who've been in it for the long haul might remember her) and I am beyond ecstatic. We had an IM conversation earlier that was like old times, it looks to continue tonight, and with any luck we can keep up chatting just like before! *giggles* So yeah, this face forever: 8DDD


On an unrelated sidenote, I still have to put up the Astro Boy poster I got. And mail off Pup and Mew's gifts. I hope I can get to the post office Tuesday or Wednesday at least; Pup's is more or less ready to go, even if Mew's needs a little work. So... *crosses fingers*

Oh, and I'm addicted to these little personal pizzas that Red Baron makes. They're the best frozen pizza I've ever had. <3

Oh yeah, totally failed NaNoWriMo. I want to continue the story though, so we'll see how that goes.

I also beat the Pokemon League today in Platinum~ Right now I'm in the Battle Zone, wiping out the competition with my apparently-kickass Vaporeon, who managed to take out 3-4 of Cynthia's Pokemon XD
