Fall from grace, unholy night...

God fucking dammit. I need a new job, I'm going to have an aneurysm if I keep working in retail. And it's not even the people, it's my co-workers. They're either slave drivers or layabouts who don't bother to remember anything. I mean, when you know more about the store than your fucking ASSISTANT MANAGER then there's something wrong.
However, I may be insane for wanting to get an office job. But my mom used to have one, and I loved accompanying her to work and helping her, plus I love working with computers and hell, even copier machines, so I think it'll be fine.
This is, of course, all just until I can get my "being a professional artist" job off the ground.
Anyway, got my Christmas cards out in the mail today, as well as the last of packages I'm sending out (which numbered all of two anyway). Plus, completely done with my shopping. Yay.
Now, for meme answers I promised
knifeshock, plus the meme itself.
1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.
1. What is it about Megaman you like so much?
Well on the one hand, it's something I remember from way back in my childhood. Even though I never really got the chance to play the games, I knew who Megaman was, and could identify him or talk about him if people asked. As I grew, it was a chance viewing of the first dubbed Rockman.EXE episode that pulled me back in. Well, officially anyway; before that I'd had a game that I never even knew was a Megaman game, technically XD (Although that's not my fault; "The Misadventures of Tron Bonne" doesn't have "Megaman" anywhere said in it, so... ) I fell in love with EXE, then with every other series and have never really looked back. I think it's probably because I love machinery, robotics (even if robots themselves-- at least, bare metal ones all Terminator style --scare me), technology, and pretty much everything the Megaman series, ALL of it, embodies. So, I'm a Megaman nut. And I always will be.
2. When did you confirm your orientation to yourself?
This one I actually don't really know XD I think it was back in middle school somewhere, where I realized I had a crush on one of my best friends who was, yes, female. I never told her about it, by the way XD. I DO remember when I told my parents I was bi, mainly for the fact that they replied with "We know." XDXD
3. What is the most interesting thing that happened to you in your life?
A bit of a hard one to answer xD I mean, over the past 23 years I've had a lot of stuff happen that could be called interesting. Going to a rock concert; being part of a (local) award-winning marching band (yes I was a band geek; you may laugh) in highschool; getting my hand suckered by an octopus (hey, some may count that ;P XD ); meeting the Kratt brothers way back when and even corresponding with them for a while; hell, even getting to fly to CA and Philly might count. Take your pick ;P
4. Who is closest to you in your life?
Three people. My boyfriend,
baka_koinu (aka Pup). My best friend,
mewberries151 (aka Mew) who, by the way, is not the same best friend mentioned above XD (Mew already knows I have a crush on her ;P XDXD). And my nephew Cameron, who's really more like my younger brother than my nephew. I love these people dearly, and don't get to see enough of ANY of them.
5. If you could choose five words to descibe yourself, what would they be and why?
Troubled; insane; artsy; obsessive; logical.
"Troubled" because...well, that's what I am (and no, this isn't an emo thing ;P XD ). I've had some mentally scarring stuff happen to me in the past, and bad experiences with people that have left me with an inferiority complex, low self-esteem, and a habit to bring everything onto myself, carry the world on my shoulders, and dislike things being "all about me" (ask Pup; I try to make my birthday his day XD; ). I'm depressive, possibly bipolar, and once, ages ago when I was a stupid teen, I tried to commit suicide. Not to mention I've got a short fuse, and am a bit unstable (see next point). So yeah, I'm picking "troubled" ;P
"Insane." Well, there's not much I can say about that one, except I DO hear voices. Every single one of my characters, past and present, are a "conscious" part of my personality and my thoughts, and I've been known to have many inner conversations with them. Not to mention I've got a bit of a blood lust/violent streak, which has actually edged close to "It's always the quiet ones" syndrome before. I should probably see someone about that part...
"Arsty" because...well... DUH ;P XD
"Obsessive." Anyone who talks to me in real life can probably see this. I will take things and hold onto them relentlessly, driving them into the ground and then never really letting them go.
"Logical" because I try to see things from every side, and get the best answer for any given situation. I almost never do anything (except drawings) on impulse; I always have to think it through, weigh my options, and do what's best then.
I find it funnily disturbing that I've memorized Guy Love.
