Answering this using the Pokemon anime, since with anything else I'd have to use the Pokemon THEMSELVES, and that's just creepy XDXDXD

1. The first character I fell in love with:
-Misty. She's an avid user of Water type Pokemon and, being a water lover myself, she appealed to me early on.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now:
-Ash. I hated him SO MUCH in the beginning of the series, since he was such an arrogant little jerk xD;. But as he grew, so did my love for him, and he's now my top favorite character.

3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t:
-May. I haaaaaaattteee May. There's others that hate her too, but the general consensus seems to be that she's a popular character. PAH! Misty was three times the trainer May will ever be :\

4. The character I love that everyone else hates:
I don't...really know XD;

5. The character I would shag anytime:
-Moving on...

6. The character I’d want to be like:
-Ash, probably. He's got a lot of faith in himself, he never lets anything get him down, and he's always willing to lend a helping hand, even to someone who's maligned him in the past.

7. The character I’d slap:
-Gary, at least early on in the series. Stupid SOB.

8. A pairing that I love:
-Ash x Misty.

9. A pairing that I despise:

What are your five favorite things about your fandom?
-Its incredible staying power. Pokemon has been around for a decade now, and while it's not ZOMGEVERYWHERE like it was about three-ish years ago, it's still got thousands of diehard fans that'll never let it die.
-The bonds between Pokemon and trainers. In the games, the manga, and the anime there are some incredible bonds out there; going through so many hard challenges can really bring a trainer and his/her team close. If you really want to see a top notch example, just watch Ash and Pikachu for five minutes.
-The Pokemon battles. Whether I'm watching one take place, or I'm doing one myself in one of the video games, I just can't get enough of these. They're often very exciting and climactic, and can really get your heart pumping.
-The Pokemon. There's just...so much creativity, and no two Pokemon look alike (even if one's an evolved form of another). There really is one for everybody, no matter their tastes.
-The different ways Pokemon can evolve. I know that sounds weird but again, I love the creativity there. In the beginning there were only three ways (leveling, trading, or by evolutionary stones) but now there's MANY ways, including mixes of the aforementioned three. It makes things more interesting.

What are your five least favorite things about your fandom?
-The idiots. The Pokemon fandom has got a lot of elitists, or just plain stupid people, who half the time ignore the sheer fun of Pokemon just to get their monster all the way up so it can crack yours down that much quicker.
-TOO. MANY. POKEMON. *collapse* There's...what, 493 now? 496? I keep losing track XDXD I mean yeah there's an awesome variety but still...wow XD
-Luvdisc (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luvdisc). Wtf Nintendo? XDXD
-The latest seasons of the anime. It just seems so...trite now XD; The anime started going downhill when the core group split up.
-The voice actor changes. Damn you 4Kiiiiiiddddssss.

Who are your five favorite characters?
-Taking this as a Top 5 Pokemon question: Raichu, Suicune, Articuno, Munchlax, and Nidoking. I'd link pages on them, but Bulbapedia (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page) is down right now, though I linked it here for when it DOES come back up, and will work beyond the main page XD;

Who are your five least favorite characters?
-Bottom 5 Pokemon: Mr. Mime, Jynx, Smoochum, Luvdisc, Feebas. Again, I'll link pages once Bulbapedia's working again.

What are your five favorite pairings?
-Ash x Misty; Jessie x James; Snubull x Meowth's Tail (in-joke XDXD )... Can't think of any others ^^;

What are your five least favorite pairings?
Ash x May is about all I can think of.

Which character are you most like?
Brock, probably. A little more mature than some of my fellows, and with a wide knowledge about various subjects. I just...don't have Brock's loser-in-love ways XDXD

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Jeremie XD I started out really disliking him, but now he's a top fav ^^ XD Same with Ulrich, though I "blame" that one on Mew..
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Jim? I dunno. Jim's alright and he's funny, but he's not one of my top favorite characters.

What are your five favorite things about your fandom?
-How it's such a fantasy world but at the same time is really realistic.
-The characters. They've got a lot of heart ^^
-The CG in Lyoko. OMG that just got more beautiful as the series progressed~ The battle scenes now are AWESOME as well ^^
-The fans. From what I've seen, the CL community is really close knit, and I love that ^^
-The emotions. They do lots of high emotion scenes beautifully; one just needs to look as far as any dealing with Aelita and her past to see that much, but there's much more than that too.

What are your five least favorite things about your fandom?
-I...don't know really XD;;

-Odd, Aelita, Jeremie, Ulrich, Yumi. ....Whaaat? It's true.

1. The first character I fell in love with: Ron, actually. He's such a lovable loser, and I really identify with him as well (more on that below).
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Hermione. She's a know-it-all, but she's good at heart.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Draco. Never understood why people love that boy :\ I mean yeah, he kinda redeemed himself in DH...a bit....but I never liked him anyway XD; ...Nevermind the fact that my shounen-ai-loving side can't get enough of Draco x Harry... >.>;
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: I...dunno XDXD Crookshanks? xDD *brick'd*
5. The character I would shag anytime: Er..
6. The character I’d want to be like: Tonks. She's just so bubbly and awesome, and she's devoted xD Plus, I wouldn't mind being a metamorphagus (I know I spelled that wrong) too...

What are your five favorite things about your fandom?
-I'm going to give a big DUH here and say "The magic." I love the different spells in HP, and there're some really creative ones out there. (One of my favorites is actually Sectumsempra xDD )
-The world. The way it's crafted makes you really wonder if there ARE wizards living among us humans in secret, just because of the believable (I think so, anyway) way it's portrayed.
-Echoing what I said in the CL comment above, the characters. Lots of heart, and I loved watching them grow.
-The wizard scarves. .....What? I love scarves, and the Hogwarts ones have really awesome designs XD;;..
-Hogwarts itself. I love that school XDXD

What are your five least favorite things about your fandom?
-Err... Nothing really springs to mind xD;

-Ron, Hermione, Sirius, Lupin, and Tonks. Dumbledore gets an honorable mention, as do Neville and Harry XD

-Draco, Umbridge, Trelawny, Moody (he's just...creepy xD; ), and any Barty Crouch you can name xD;

-....Does it count if most of them are shounen-ai pairings? XD;;;;... Ron x Hermione; Harry x Draco (shush XD; ); Sirius x Lupin (hush, again xD; ) and...I dunno XD;

-Actually, I have no clue XDXD I actually don't really think of HP pairings, unless I see it in fanart.

Which character are you most like?
-Ron, no question. Like I said above I really identify with him; somewhat poor, having to make do with what you've got but aspiring for a better lot, while having friends better off than you are, a little clumsy with frequent slip-ups and some dismal grades.. But at the bottom of it all, having a good heart and being really loyal to the people who matter to you the most.

What is your deep, dark fandom secret?
-I dunno, that I consider "my" House to be Hufflepuff? XDXDXD
