(This is technically my MAIN music, but there wasn't enough room so I put it up here, and listed the alternate version in the Music space XD; )


Okay, semi-pointless entry, semi-useful entry XD Or, depending on how you look at it, completely pointless.


My dad and I took care of a couple things earlier. On our way to one of the locations, I talked about how I love the smell of spring, how it's so fresh, clean, etc. Then afterwards I assigned "telltale" smells to the other seasons. This is what I wound up with:
Spring: Fresh and clean, renewed.
Summer: Cut grass and chlorine, and coconuts.
Fall: Aged wood, as if the world had been slow-cured.
Winter: Smell of ashes in a fireplace

I never did come up with one for winter ^^; Not that wasn't depressing, anyway XD;
EDIT: Pup was inspired to give me one for Winter ^^ *kissi* Thankya~


Other than that, I bought the first volume of the Megaman manga. Now I just need...2, 3, 4, 7, and 8.. ^^;; And speaking of, I want the stupid PET I won to get here already >.o; I hate how difficult it can be to get packages here sometimes.


I'll probably be making plenty of icons and such from the manga now XDXD ^^ In fact...*skims it for pages to scan*


And as an update, Pup should be getting his ticket to see me today~ ^^

Which reminds me, I still have that package that came back unclaimed. What should I do with it?

Your observations on the smells of the seasons led me to look for a poem by H. D. Carberry called Nature, which describes what the Jamaican weather and landscape are like:

We have neither summer nor winter, neither autumn nor spring.
We have instead the days when the gold sun shines on the lush
green canefields magnificently!

The days when the rain beats like bullets on the roof,
And there is no sound but the swish of water in the gullies,
And trees struggling in the high Jamaica winds.

Then there are the days when the leaves fall off guango trees and
And reaped canefields lie bare and fallow in the sun.

But best of all, are the days when the mango and logwood blossoms,
And the air is filled the sound of bees and the scent of honey.
When the buttercups have paved the earth with yellow stars
And beauty comes suddenly, and the rains have gone.

(This was hard to find online, BTW. I eventually found it by searching for the phrase "and the rains have gone", which was all I could remember of the text of the poem.)
