So anyway, I've been feeling a little drained lately. Yesterday I fell asleep around 8 PM, and I slept through the night until about 5 in the morning. I've NEVER slept through the night! Not for the past 3 years, or so. I always wake up three times, at least. Unfortunately, that meant I missed my friends online... Sorry guys! ^^;;


A part of feeling drained I guess, I've been feeling kinda weak today. I think just because I got a little sick recently is all, though ^^; And only because, I think, I ate some chicken. It makes me sick yeah, but it was tempting! I'll never do it again, I swear....*shifty eyes*


I've also been having a bit of trouble with my fic, Un Monde Sans Danger. It's HARD! ^^;; I figured out how to work in the RTTP feature, but now I'm stumbling over Aelita and Jeremie's meeting... *sighs* Hopefully I'll be able to make it past this rough spot soon. Then I can finish the fic XD

Yeah, my journal title is an unusual one, isn't it? :P It's true, though. There's a lot of shit going on in my life right now, and I could be comfier in my room here, and yet... I'm content. It's weird.

Anyway...



I have a new curse-ish phrase, thanks to my nephew Cameron. We were playing Dynasty Warriors 3 yesterday, and he wasn't having much luck in the current battle. At one point, surrounded by the other army, he went "Tarter sauce..." and it was the cutest thing ever! XD So, I've turned it into a phrase :P When things aren't going right, instead of actually cursing, just go "Ohhhh.....tarter sauce!"


Speaking of Cameron, he and his sister Chandler are over for the weekend. Or rather were over, seeing as today is Sunday. We've been doing the usual stuff we do when they're over-- watching tons of Code Lyoko (Cam and Chan are both big fans) and subsequently making fun of it (good-naturedly); play video games (Channey is scaringly good at Bushido Blade 2 for a 7 year old o.o); and...bicker. Cam and Chan do most of the arguing, but still.. Oh, and Chandler made my sore back worse by choosing to sit on me yesterday ^^; -_-; Despite my vehement protests for her to "GET OFF!!!"

I mentioned those two were fans of Code Lyoko. Cam, Chan and I share a lot of similarities (Cameron and I more than Chan and I), but with CL you see how we can be different :P (Don't mind this, it's random, I'm random, and I felt like posting it XD)

Just a quick drop-in, drop-out :P I finished a new Code Lyoko fanfic, a chapterfied one this time! It's called "Un Monde Sans Danger" (go figure xD) and you can find it by clicking here! ^^


I don't really miss cable. Sure, a lot of better programs are on it, as well as some things that I was taping. But until last night, I never really missed it. What caused me to think about that? Coming across a fanart drawing by a friend, for a series that I'd love to see again, but don't have on tape (unlike anything else I care to watch). My Current Music and journal title are from this series (and the music REALLY gives it away), so kudos if you guess it XDXD *pushes glasses up, and grins* 'Course, I can watch it easier than paying $160+ for cable reinstatement. I can pay a 3 buck late fee at VisArt, then rent the DVD's XD That oughta satisfy...


Not really sure what else to say. I may add more later, I may not :P

Well, it's been a while since I updated, so here I am! ^^; The OOO background has been changed some, as well as link color (you may have to highlight those, at least...) Don't worry, my next LJ look will be a bit better...Whenever I feel like getting rid of Odd anyway xD (Hey, he may only be my third fav character, but he makes a good background ^^)


I went to the doctor's office the other day, and had some blood drawn for tests at the end of it. The bruise has yet to go away, and in fact it's a bit bigger ^^; Maybe because I sleep on that arm... And what I can't get out of my head is the fact my blood bubbled into the vials. Not slid, not slimed, but actually BUBBLED. Like red water, it was. I mean, I knew my blood was thin, but DAMN! XD At the end of the visit I got put on the allergy medicine Zyrtec. Go me xD;


Well, I've got bad news, and good news. Bad news, we practically lost the house. Good news, my father's friend decided to buy it, so we could continue living here until we move. But he wants rent, and unless I find a job (since my father can't work) we can't pay it x_X; At least he doesn't want it yet... At some point my (*insert random curse word here*) brother should be bringing by some money for some stuff he bought from us. He was supposed to bring it a couple days ago, but I wouldn't put it past him to wait until next MONTH to decide to swing by. *heavy sigh, as she shakes her head* And I've had absolutely NO luck in the job-search. *shrug* C'est la vie......


I've been rereading "Blood Trail" lately ^^; I just finished the last book in Tanya Huff's "Blood" series (Blood Debt), and Trail is the second one. I'm rereading it because it's handy--my favorite one is Debt, but I just read it and I don't want to read it again so soon. After I'm done with Trail, I'll probably read more in the Arabian Nights, or move on to Hurcheston's A Wolf's Tale. Or Terry Goodkind's "Temple Of the Winds", I haven't decided...


Unrelated Comment Of the Day: I feel old x____X;;;


I've been mucho busy in fanfics lately. *starts counting on her fingers* I've got NeoWorld to continue (NW being a fanfic at my messageboard *points to her site link*), Unity (semi-private series) needs some lovin', and so do Nightmare Chronicles and the still unnamed Code Lyoko series (N.Chron is at FF.net; the CL series will be there too....someday). Plus there's a Case Closed fanfic, The Ski Resort Murder Case, I've been slowly pecking at... Not to mention Smoke Rings, a darker venture into my one-shot CL fanfics, which've been propagating like HELL lately. And a couple random, unfinished Neopets ones....


And it's not just fics, but fanart too! I've got 4 trades I've been having problems with, and a 5th waiting in the wings. Pics for Unity and Ski Resort have to be done at some point, plus ones for practically all of my CL one-shots. And I still need to do some site-related things...


And find a job, but with all the snow and ice on the roads, my father can't get out of the house (because he needs to walk with crutches), much less drive. Anyone want to room with me? ^-^;;; I'll keep the rent low......

Gehhh, I think I played too much Budokai today x_X; *is starting to see Tournament scenes when she closes her eyes* Well, when one's 9-yr old nephew is staying, and when one doesn't have any cable, one's nephew decides on video games instead. True, we also played Dynasty Warriors, but for the better part of today we alternately tried defeating the various Tournament levels in DBZ: Budokai. We only managed to defeat Novice and Adept ^-^; Ah well, at least I already have Gt. Saiyaman and Hercule (*collapses into a snickerfit at both*) unlocked.


Some may remember my "Midnight Reflection" entry (and if you don't, scroll down, it's there xD). Well, I've been doing it again xD My latest thoughts? Why I've been drawing a lot of pictures lately of (Code Lyoko's) Aelita crying (hell, my latest is Semi-Random Picture of the Moment). My decision? It's because I identify myself with her, I mean at least in part. Alone for much of one's life, then suddenly getting (a) friend(s) who will do anything for you, to keep you who you are, and to bring you to a better life. Quiet, more defensive than offensive, and with a streak of humor a mile wide (for proof of the prescence of Aelita's, watch what she does to the Crab in "The Trap", though there are other examples; that's just my personal favorite XD). And lately I've been going through some really tough times. So why not express it through someone who seems like myself, at least in part? I don't know if the depressed look 'fits' her, but I don't really care right now.


And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going off to continue my mp3 search xD
